Refilling
Lexmark 12A1970 & 17G0050 Blank Ink Cartridges
-
Remove
cartridge from printer.
-
Use
screw-eye provided to enlarge
the vent hole on the top of the
cartridge.
-
Take
the bottle and push the needle
slowly into the sponge, taking
care not to squeeze the
bottle.
-
Inject
the ink slowly, pulling back
slightly as you inject, to
expose the different parts of
the sponge to the ink. Remember;
a little ink goes a long way!
The cartridge takes approx
20-22ml to fill. Only inject a
few mil at a time, using 2/ 3 of
the bottle and allow to stand
while the ink soaks in the
sponge.
-
When
the sponge is full, wipe the
printhead, and return to the
printer.
-
Run

Inject
the ink slowly, pulling back

to expose the different parts of
the sponge to the ink. Make sure
that you have stopped injecting,
before
reaching the top of the sponge
or the colour make leak into

When
the cartridge is full, put the
cap back on and attach with
sticky tape.

Refilling
Lexmark Black Ink Cartridges
(10N0016 and 18L0032)
- Enlarge the small hole on the top of the
cartridge with a hook screw.
- Connect the needle to the syringe and fill
with ink.
- Place the needle in the filling hole and
push the needle inside as far as possible. There may be some resistance felt
when inserting the needle due to the sponge contained inside the cartridge.
- Slowly inject; up to 15ml of ink for
10N0016, up to 30ml of ink for 82 (18L0032). If ink begins to overflow at
the filling hole, stop filling and remove about 1ml of ink to prevent an
overfill condition. Return any remaining ink in the syringe to the bottle.
- Reinsert the cartridge into your printer and
run a few test prints and head cleaning cycles as needed.
